This policy explains what personal information we collect through Frontier Models, why we use it, who helps us process it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you.

Who is responsible

Frontier Models is the publisher responsible for deciding how the personal information described here is used. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to hello@frontiermodels.com.

Information you give us

  • Your email address when you subscribe, sign in, or contact us.
  • Your membership preferences, including which newsletters you receive and whether you have unsubscribed.
  • Anything you send us in an email, such as a question, tip, or correction request.

Information collected when you visit

We use Ghost's first-party, cookie-free web analytics to count visits and understand which pages readers find useful. When you are signed in as a member, Ghost may associate your member ID and membership status with the posts you view. Ghost also records newsletter delivery, opens, and link activity when those measurements are enabled.

Like other hosted websites, Ghost and its delivery providers receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details, and request logs when they operate and secure the service.

How and why we use information

We use personal information to deliver requested emails, manage memberships, answer messages, measure readership, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and maintain the site. Where a law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent for optional newsletter email, on our legitimate interests in operating and improving a secure publication for basic analytics and abuse prevention, and on steps needed to provide services you request. You can withdraw newsletter consent at any time by unsubscribing.

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

Service providers

We publish on Ghost(Pro). Ghost hosts the site, stores membership information, provides first-party analytics, and delivers our newsletters. Ghost and its subprocessors process this information for us under their service and data protection terms. We may also use infrastructure providers that process limited technical data to deliver and protect the site. We do not add third-party advertising trackers.

These providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where data protection law requires it, we rely on the safeguards made available by our providers for those transfers.

Cookies and local storage

Ghost does not set non-essential cookies by default. Essential storage may be used to keep members signed in, protect forms, remember account choices, and remember your light or dark theme preference.

How long we keep information

We keep membership information while your account or subscription is active. After you unsubscribe, we may retain the minimum record needed to honor that choice, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. We keep correspondence, analytics, and security logs only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which they were collected, subject to the retention schedules of the providers that operate the service.

Your choices

Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can also use your account page to manage newsletter preferences.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to certain uses; withdraw consent; and complain to your local data protection authority. To make a request, contact hello@frontiermodels.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing it.

Children

Frontier Models is a general-audience publication and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact hello@frontiermodels.com so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures, including the safeguards provided by our hosting and delivery services, to protect personal information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
