With every month that passes during the Clone Wars, the Republic is forced to develop ever more advanced weapons in order to arm itself against the Separatists. This results in the impressively powerful Republican Star Destroyers of the Venator Class, with their devastating arsenal of weapons and Star Fighters that are released from the nose of the Star Destroyer. This gives the powerful destroyers a central role in the Clone Wars.
